March 26 (Bloomberg) -- Lithuanian local media outlet LRT.lt reported on March 22 that the country's Vilnius University expelled 10 students last year for using AI in violation of the law. The university did not ban AI, but some of the students used it in an inappropriate way. Vilnius University Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Valdas Jaskunas said that in the past year, about 10 students were expelled for improper use of AI in academic writing, including failing to disclose the involvement of AI in their graduation theses.
