A few days ago,FoxconnChairman Yangwei Liu gave a personal speech at 2025 COMPUTEX to talk about the AI When manufacturing plants, it discusses the topic of "whether AI is replacing human workers".
In his presentation, Yangwei Liu noted that while AI can achieve an accuracy rate of 80% in recent iterations, its progress will slow down significantly thereafter.
In terms of the ratio of AI to humans in the "next-generation factory conceived by Foxconn," Liu predicts that it will be:AI helps with 80%, leaving 20% to be done by skilled workers and technicians.
Liu Yangwei further analyzed that although AI has improved work efficiency, human expertise is still an essential part for precise and complex tasks.
Also in this speech, Liu Yangwei announced Foxconn's "3+3+3=∞" strategy for the future (i.e., Smart Manufacturing, Smart Electric Vehicles, and Smart Cities, supported by the latest AI factory developed in collaboration with NVIDIA). Among other things, Liu Yangwei mentioned that it seems to be too early to talk about the peak of AI's computing demand, and that "this is just the beginning".
