"This shit.DeepSeek, asking a question is like squeezing toothpaste!"
Last night a user tweeted that he used DeepSeek for half a day and it either answered the question or was a bunch of correct but useless crap.
To be honest, I especially understand how he feels.
When I first started using DeepSeek, I thought it was an "advanced repeater" too.
Obviously a free top notch AI that doesn't do much good in my hands.
Ask a question, and it always gives you a bunch of official "we suggest you consider...".
It's like when you spend a lot of money on a top chef and all he does is cook you instant noodles.
But not anymore.
After six months of fiddling around, I've got DeepSeek dialed in.
It's no longer that cold answering machine, but an intelligent assistant that really understands my needs - able to think, adapt, and is also particularly attentive.
Today I'm sharing 30 real-world tips that I've figured out over the past six months without reservation. Learn them and you too can make DeepSeek work for you.
Tip #1: Let DeepSeek read your mind!
- lead the way by asking questions
"Please attach some questions at the end of your answer that will lead me to additional information or further questions."
This is a great trick! Every time you use it, DeepSeek is like an enlightened person who will reach out and ask you, "Boss, is there more you'd like to know about this? That?" Saves you from having to think about the questions yourself. - Simplified answer
"Please re-answer this question in more concise and understandable language, avoiding jargon."
DeepSeek has a problem with falling off the wagon. When that comes out, it's immediately honest and tells you things in the big white spaces. - Additional details
"Please add more examples, background information, or relevant data in response to [paste relevant content] in your response."
Make up what you want and don't let it fool you. - Guess what I'm asking.
"Please list 5 questions at the end that may be of interest to me based on my questions and your answers."
This feature smells so good.DeepSeek anticipates what you want next based on your questions. Often it guesses what I want to ask and saves me tons of time straight away.
Tip #2: Deep Dialogue Technique
- ask a rhetorical question
"What further clarification or additional information is needed from me to answer this question more accurately?"
Letting DeepSeek actively gather information is much better than you guessing blindly what it needs. - Self-improvement
"Please point out any deficiencies in your response and develop a detailed program of improvement."
This trick allows DeepSeek to learn self-reflection. Sometimes it can find the problem by itself and actively improve the answer. It is even more effective when used in conjunction with the "Supplement based on improvement program". - aid in understanding
"Please provide some analogies and application examples to help me better understand [fill in the relevant part of the answer]."
Abstract concepts are instantly grounded. For example, to explain an algorithm, it might be compared to the "steps of cooking", which is instantly understandable.
Tip #3: Quality Control
You know what? The quality of DeepSeek's answers to the same question, asked differently, can vary by a hundred thousand miles.
- Fact-checking
"Please verify information such as examples, data, or dates in your response, pointing out and correcting inaccuracies."
DeepSeek can also "talk serious nonsense", a trick that allows it to check itself and greatly improve its accuracy. - super-responsive
"Please anticipate and briefly answer any follow-up questions I may have."
Takes care of multiple related issues at once, directly doubling efficiency. It is recommended to use it after other commands. - goal-oriented
"Please answer this question around [fill in the main purpose of your question]."
Straight to the point, no beating around the bush, no bullshit.
Tip #4: Expression Optimization
- emphasize the key points
"Please elaborate in your answer about ......." - Expanded Reading
"Please attach some books or papers related to this question at the end of your answer." - food for thought
"Your answer should not only solve the problem, but also be able to inspire me to think independently."
This requirement makes DeepSeek not just give answers, but also guide you to think deeper. Like a good teacher, it teaches you to fish instead of giving you fish. - knowledge fusion
"Please integrate relevant concepts from two different areas of knowledge to provide a fresh perspective or solution to the problem at hand."
Thinking across boundaries often produces unexpected insights. It's a trick I've used often to solve work problems, time and time again.
Tip #5: Utility Enhancement
- value extraction
"Please end by listing the value your answer will bring to me, the key pain points it addresses, or the unique insights it provides."
Let DeepSeek proactively summarize the value points and you'll know if the answer is useful or not. - multidimensional analysis
"Please reanalyze this question from at least three different perspectives and provide an answer." - Improve readability
"Please make your responses easier to read and digest by improving typography, wording and sentence structure." - Targeted adjustments
"Please adjust the language style and depth of content to regenerate a response written for the ...... audience segment."
Showing it to a white person and showing it to an expert is certainly not the same routine.
Tip #6: Structured Techniques
- prioritize
"If the response contains multiple points or suggestions, please rank them in order of importance or priority." - Enhanced fun
"Please include some interesting analogies, stories, or examples to make your response more interesting." - Increasing innovativeness
"Please answer this question from a more innovative perspective with some novel insights." - Glossary construction
"Please include a glossary at the end of your response explaining specialized words or terms that appear in your response."
This is particularly useful, especially when learning a new field, and is the equivalent of a self-contained dictionary.
Tip #7: Deep Customization
- Narration
"Please make your advice, opinion or explanation more memorable by incorporating it into a vivid short story or a compelling narrative."
People naturally love stories, and explanations like this are easier to remember and more convincing. - feasibility assessment
"Please evaluate the feasibility of the suggestions or solutions given in your answer."
Ideals are rich, reality is bone-chilling. This move makes DeepSeek pragmatic. - Clarity of applicability
"To what conditions or populations do the recommendations in your answer primarily apply? Under what conditions might it not apply, or might it need to be adapted?" - Staged responses
"Please sir into the first ...... parts and wait for a reply before sending 'then generate the next parts'."
It's especially useful when there's a lot of information, giving you time to digest it.
Tip #8: Fine control
- Degree of clarity of scope
"Please be more precise in describing the scope or extent of [paste what's in the answer]." - Exploration of Neglect Factors
"Please explore factors or variables in the response that may have been overlooked but are important."
This trick often identifies blind spots and makes the program better. - Specify how to answer
"Please answer this question in [fill in a specific format, such as a table or front-end code]." - Enhanced operability
"If the answer contains suggestions or steps, make sure each step is specific enough for me to know how to proceed."
I'm afraid of the "and then you did it" bullshit guides.
Tips
Honestly, after mastering these techniques, I feel completely different about DeepSeek.
I used to think of it as an "artificial retard", but now I think of it as a "thoughtful advisor".
The point is, you have to learn how to "train" it.
Of these 30 tips, I suggest you pick a few common ones to practice first
You can place the command after other commands, or wait for DeepSeek to reply before sending it.
Remember one principle: think of DeepSeek as an assistant that is smart but needs clear instructions!
The more specific you are, the better it performs
Most importantly, don't think of it as a search engine, but as a thinking partner
It can not only answer your questions, but also inspire you to think and help you discover new possibilities, well, the above sharing is here!
