While OpenAI's ChatGPT is also popular with developers, Anthropic's early-stage equity incentives that come with its startup status are more attractive to talent.
Zuhayeer Musa, co-founder of Levels.fyi, a compensation platform for engineers, noted that while both OpenAI and Anthropic are growing rapidly, Anthropic's relative youth makes it more attractive in terms of future growth and equity gains. Additionally, Anthropic employees themselves have a relatively low willingness to jump ship.
