GooglePosted a blog on June 25th announcing Gemini CLI(command-line interface) is now available.The tool allows AI Q&A, content generation, and more to be brought directly to the developer's end interface.

According to Google, the tool is powered by Google's own Gemini 2.5 Pro Inference models that support context windows of up to 1 million tokens (i.e., the maximum amount of information that an AI model can understand); and deep integration with the Gemini Code Assist code assistant with built-in Model Context Protocol (MCP) and support for Google search.
In terms of applications, Google says that developers can use Gemini easily with the tool, which can be applied in terms ofMore than just programmingIt can be applied in areas such as content generation, task management, problem solving, etc.
Currently, the tool is in a preview state and is available to developers through their personal Google accountsfrees Gemini Code Assist Usage License, 1AI attaches the usage quota for this license as follows:
- Up to 60 model requests per minute.
- Up to 1000 requests per day.
But Googledoes not specifyWhether subsequent charges will be levied, and how they will be levied when the usage quota is exceeded, is not specified.
