July 2 News.Meta Launched in collaboration with Ray-BanSmart glassesIt has been a huge success in the market and now the company is stepping up its game with more models. In addition to its current lineup, Meta is also rumored to be working on a high-end version of its smart glasses that have a built-in screen, which is expected to be released by the end of this year, and now the device, called the Hypernova Renders of the glasses have been revealed.

According to a render shared by tipster Arsène Lupin, the Hypernova smart glasses are paired with a wrist accessory. Despite the low resolution of the render, the wrist accessory can still be clearly seen. As previously reported, the Hypernova glasses will come with a "neural" wristband controller called Ceres. The controller was originally developed for Meta's Orion augmented reality glasses, but it appears that it could also be used with the Hypernova glasses to recognize gestures such as rotating the palm of the hand to browse apps, and pinching with the thumb and forefinger to select items. While it's unclear if the wristband controller pictured is the Ceres, it's highly likely.
Visually, the Hypernova glasses don't look much different from the current Meta Ray-Ban smartglasses, but previous leaks indicate that the glasses will have a built-in screen. The monocular screen will be displayed only in the lower right corner of the right lens. When turned on, the screen will display a home screen consisting of circular icons arranged horizontally, similar to the app dock on many devices. Users can take photos, view photos, and even browse maps with the dedicated app. The glasses also support the ability to view notifications from mobile apps.
The Hypernova smart glasses will be operated via a Ceres wristband controller and capacitive touch on the side of the frame.Meta is also upgrading the camera on the glasses. The Hypernova smart glasses are expected to be priced in the range of $1,000-$1,400 (note: roughly Rs. 7,164 to Rs. 10,029 at current exchange rates). The final price (and possibly the final market name) will be determined prior to release. In addition, Meta is already working on a second-generation version of the product, codenamed Hypernova 2. That version will feature two screens, but isn't expected to be released until at least 2027.
