Windows 11 Native AI Developer Goes Live

Recently, Microsoft launched the AI Dev Gallery feature for Windows 11 AI+ PC devices to help developers incorporate end-side AI features in their apps, according to a Windows Latest post. The newly launched AI Dev Gallery feature is said to help developers experiment with various models in their apps and integrate the right AI features based on usage scenarios. Currently, Windows 11 AI+ PC devices are supported to run Small Language Models (SLMs), which can respond faster than cloud-based Copilot or ChatGPT by invoking AI models locally. It is understood that the AI Dev Gallery is compatible with Windows 10 and Windows 11 systems, supports x64 and ARM64 architectures, and provides developers with more than 25 sample models. For configuration, it requires at least 16GB of RAM and at least 20GB of storage, and if it needs to handle more intensive AI resources, it is recommended that it be equipped with a graphics card with more than 8GB of video memory.
