UFC President Dana White, Stellantis Chairman Elkann, Three Others Join Meta Board of Directors

Meta Platforms announced on Jan. 6 local time that it has elected three new members to its board of directors, including Dana White, president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and a close friend of President-elect Donald Trump; Charlie Songhurst, a Microsoft investor and former executive; and Stellantis Chairman John Elkann ( John Elkann), chairman of Stellantis. The addition of the trio will bring the size of Meta's board to 13. In a statement, Meta CEO Zuckerberg said the trio will bring deeper expertise and perspective to the company "to help us address the enormous opportunities presented by the future of artificial intelligence, wearables, and human connection."
