One-second single-image 3D generation, real-time editing, Stability AI introduces new approach to 3D generation

SPAR3D achieves 3D model generation from a single image in 0.7 seconds, supports real-time editing of point clouds, and provides a full 360-degree view; adopts a two-stage design: lightweight point diffusion model generates a point cloud, and then creates a detailed mesh based on the point cloud and the input image; it can handle visible and invisible part of the reconstruction separately, and outperforms the existing methods in the tests of GSO and Omniobject3D datasets.
