Oxford team develops TAPS-based multimodal ctDNA assay that analyzes genomic and methylation data simultaneously, with a sensitivity of 94.91 TP3T and specificity of 88.81 TP3T in early cancer screening; the method employs a combination of TET enzyme and borane, transforming only 51 TP3T methylated cytosines, preserving genomic information, and even with low ctDNA content, it can maintain high sensitivity; by integrating multimodal analysis of copy number variation, somatic mutation and methylation signals, the method has been successfully applied to the early detection of cancer and postoperative monitoring, providing a new technological path for liquid biopsy.
