OpenAI Announces First AI Intelligence Body Online Called Operator

On Thursday, January 23rd, local time, OpenAI announced the launch of the first AI intelligence called Operator, which can perform various tasks through web pages.Operator can use the Internet like a human to perform a variety of tasks, by opening a browser, clicking on buttons on a page and typing in content. The kinds of things that a human user would do online, such as booking flights, hotel reservations, planning shopping orders and completing online purchases, can all be done by Operator on their behalf.OpenAI describes Operator as being supported by a model referred to as CUA, a model that combines the visual capabilities of OpenAI's flagship model, GPT-4o, with high-level reasoning through reinforcement learning.
