Lenovo CEO: How Artificial Intelligence is Made for Love

Recently, Mr. Yang Yuanqing, Chairman and CEO of Lenovo Group, published a signed article titled "Developing "Human-based Intelligence" and Letting Artificial Intelligence Born for Love". In the article, Yang Yuanqing said that while people are enjoying the efficiency dividend brought by AI and relying more and more on AI for their work and life, various kinds of "AI anxieties" come along with it. Therefore, according to Yang, the direction that technology enterprises should work on should consider how to avoid harm, effectively control risks while promoting AI to enhance productivity, realize safety, universality, fairness and inclusiveness, and at the same time, create a "human-based intelligence" that is usable by everyone and beneficial to everyone. Therefore, Yang proposed that the so-called "human-centered intelligence" refers to the process of research and development and application of AI technologies, products and services, with the primary goal of meeting human needs and seeking human well-being; and Yang emphasized that it is necessary to abide by the human bottom line, advocate human-centered design, and adhere to the concept of human-centeredness, and at the same time, "human-centeredness" is used to look at the impact of AI, to ensure that the development of AI can truly benefit every enterprise, every person. Yang also specifically suggested that hybrid AI should be created to serve human needs and protect human safety, so that AI can be popularized and universal; Yang also mentioned that AI should be allowed to help disadvantaged groups and realize intelligence for good. Finally, Yang emphasized the promotion of AI to help solve the common challenges faced by all mankind.
