Chianese: Cyber Attacks Against DeepSeek Increase Hundreds of Times

In the early morning of January 30th, XLab Labs monitored and found that the intensity of the attack against DeepSeek online service suddenly escalated, and its attack commands increased by hundreds of times compared with those of January 28th. XLab Labs observed that at least 2 botnets were involved in the attack, and a total of two waves of attacks were launched. It is reported that the attack involved 118 C2 ports of 16 C2 servers, divided into two waves, at 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. XLab Labs found through nearly one month's monitoring of DeepSeek that the attack pattern escalated from the initial amplification attack, which was easy to clean, to the HTTP proxy attack (application layer attack, which is more difficult to defend against) on January 28th, and has now evolved into a botnet-based attack, with the botnet as the main target. At this stage, it has evolved into a botnet-based attack. Attackers use a variety of attack techniques and means to continue to attack DeepSeek. "The addition of botnets signifies that professional attackers have begun to come down, which indicates that the attack methods faced by DeepSeek have continued to evolve and sophisticate, and the difficulty of defense has been increasing, making the cybersecurity situation more and more complicated and severe." said XLab.
