Microsoft co-develops Aardvark weather system: no need for supercomputing complex simulations, AI accurately predicts future weather

Microsoft Research, in conjunction with the University of Cambridge and the Alan Turing Institute, is developing an AI weather system called Aardvark Weather, which can accurately predict the future weather through deep learning techniques without the use of supercomputers for complex physical simulations. Unlike traditional numerical models such as the U.S. Global Forecast System (GFS), Aardvark Weather completely abandons physical simulations and instead utilizes deep learning technology. (NetEase)
