ByteDance's editing software Shear Image has recently begun a small-scale test of the clone timbre feature, with about 10% users qualified for the trial, which will likely be fully rolled out by the end of the month. The feature currently only supports instantly reading random text aloud for recording input, and does not support uploading audio for cloning tones, which can be generated by recording for only about 5-10 seconds.
