Yesterday Musk posted that Tesla is on the verge of realizing a "universal, pure AI solution for fully autonomous driving," and emphasized that the solution requires only cameras and Tesla's own AI chips, and is driven by AI software developed by Tesla. Earlier, Tesla released a video and announced that the "unsupervised" FSD (Tesla's Fully Self-Driving) system has accumulated more than 50,000 miles (about 80,500 kilometers) of driving, and the whole process does not require anyone to intervene. It is understood that the tests announced by Tesla were mainly conducted inside its factories, including the new Model Y and Cybertruck, which were driven automatically from the production line to the delivery parking lot. It is reported that the above self-driving vehicles are equipped with Tesla's latest AI4 hardware, which can cope with complex road environments, and the vehicles are also able to communicate with each other to avoid collisions. Tesla's 'unsupervised' FSD road test program is about to start, and is expected to begin in Austin this June.
