Technology media outlet The Verge has published a blog post reporting that Microsoft has asked its AI infrastructure engineers to get ready for the Azure AI Foundry platform to host the Grok AI model developed by Elon Musk's xA. The outlet noted, however, that Microsoft's decision to host Grok could cause ripples within Microsoft. On the one hand, Musk is currently in the spotlight, while on the other, it could further aggravate Microsoft's relationship with OpenAI, which filed a countersuit against Musk earlier this month, accusing him of using "dishonest tactics" to hinder OpenAI's development. Microsoft and OpenAI have also had frequent disagreements over computing power requirements and model access, and the Wall Street Journal recently reported that Nadella and Sam Altman are drifting apart.
