Google launches AI startup fund with access to new models and tools

Google announced Monday that it will launch a new fund aimed at investing in artificial intelligence startups. Eligible startups will receive investment from Google, early access to AI models, and hands-on support from Google researchers, engineers, and marketing specialists, the company said in its blog post titled "AI Future Fund." They will also receive credit for use of Google Cloud. According to the blog post, "Selected startups have the opportunity to receive direct investment from Google to drive growth and scale AI development." The launch of the fund comes at a time when Google is trying to get more exposure to the latest AI companies and industry trends. At the same time, popular AI startups are looking for alternative sources of funding as the initial public offering market has largely stalled due to the economic downturn.
