U.S. AI startup Anthropic announced on May 28 local time that Netflix co-founder and former CEO Reed Hastings has joined the company's board of directors. Hastings recently donated $50 million to Bowdoin College to establish a research program on AI and humans, the statement said. The program aims to explore how AI will transform work, relationships, and education, and to develop an ethical framework for its application, "all areas that fit closely with Anthropic's own research focus."
