Alphabet shares rise as Google brings Gemini AI assistant to Wear OS smartwatches

Google announced on Wednesday that it will be rolling out the Gemini feature on its Wear OS smartwatches. The company teased the plan back in May of this year, and now it has finally landed after nearly two months. The tech giant has also added new capabilities to the Circle to Search feature -- integrating its AI-mode search experience directly into the feature and adding support for game-related queries. Google said Gemini will be gradually adapted to smartwatches from brands such as Pixel, Samsung, Oppo, One Plus and Xiaomi running Wear OS 4 and above over the next few weeks, and that the release is part of Google's plan to replace the Google Assistant with Gemini across all of its devices and platforms. Alphabet shares rose 2% after Google announced it was bringing its Gemini AI assistant to Wear OS smartwatches.
