OpenAI released its blueprint for global computing expansion on 23 March, with a planned investment of up to $1 trillion to build large computing facilities in the United States and overseas. The first project showcased by the company is located about 180 miles west of Dallas, an area equivalent to the New York Central Park Supervalent Park, and is expected to be the largest AI supercentre in the world. OpenAI, in partnership with Oracle and the Silver Bank, announced that five additional data centres would be built in the United States in the future, with a combined capacity of nearly 7 GW, equivalent to about 8 million households.
