The United States Department of Energy (DOE) will build its largest artificial intelligence supercomputer in history to accelerate the process of scientific discovery. One of the systems, known as Solstice, will be equipped with a record 100,000-dollar British Blackwell architecture GPU, designed to support the United States Department of Energy in developing artificial intelligence capabilities and promoting technological leadership in national security, scientific research and energy applications. Another system, Equinox, will be equipped with 10,000 British dollars Blackwell GPU, expected to become operational in the first half of 2026. The two systems will be interconnected through the British Weeda network technology, which will provide up to 2,200 artificial intelligence computing capabilities。
