Tsinghua University's 2024 centralized training for all university faculty and staff, as well as for all members of the party, states that the university will build 100 pilot courses on AI-enabled teaching and equip every 2024 freshman with an 'AI growth assistant'.
The AI-enabled teaching pilot work mainly uses GLM, a 100-billion-parameter multimodal large model jointly developed by the Department of Computer Science and Technology of Tsinghua University and Wisdom Spectrum Huazhang, as a platform and technical base to serve the teaching of teachers and the learning of students in different subject areas.
These AI-assisted systems not only provide 24-hour personalized learning support, intelligent assessment and feedback, but also assist students with deeper thinking to inspire learning.
According to the official introduction of Tsinghua University, Tsinghua has launched AI-enabled teaching on September 28 last year, and has completed the development and put into use the intelligent teaching assistant system for five courses. Tsinghua will carry out 100 AI-enabled teaching pilot courses in 2024 to promote the digitalization of education.
