Meta CTO: Staff morale has reached the lowest level in company history

On June 17, Meta's chief technical officer, Andrew “Boz” Bosworth, stated that the morale of the technocratic and older workers had fallen to near-historical lows as a result of recent large-scale layoffs and internal artificial intelligence adjustments. Four participants revealed that on June 2th, Bosworth said at a meeting on the inside line: "The morale of the company may not be the worst in 20 years, but it's almost." “To say the worst, Cambridge's analysis of data leaks should have been first.” He then added that staff morale is now “almost one of the lowest in company history”. The past year has been very difficult for the majority of Meta employees. In May this year, Meta announced a reduction in staff of 101 TP3T, and about one member of the staff was transferred to full-time training in artificial intelligence models. In April this year, Meta's initiative to monitor staff mouse moves and keyboard click records to optimize the AI model also generated strong dissatisfaction among all staff. Meta management stated that it had initiated initiatives to promote staff morale. It is reported that Meta has now allowed staff transferred to the AI Task Force to re-recruit other positions within the company; in addition, the company has increased its budget for travel, mission activities and staff snack benefits。
