Meta signed an AI calculator agreement with Crusoe, locking in about 1.6 giva data centre capacity

Meta is accelerating the expansion of the artificial intelligence infrastructure and entering into a new calculus purchase agreement with the data centre developer, Crusoe, to further enrich its large, al-extension reserve. According to information sources quoted by Bloomberg, Meta has entered into a contract with Crusoe for the purchase of two of its data centres in Childress, Texas, and Warrenton, Missouri. The combined capacity of these two facilities is approximately 1.6 giva, equivalent to a simultaneous supply of electricity to up to 1.2 million American households. The exact amount of the transaction and the timing of its delivery have not been disclosed. Meta had previously committed to investing at least $60 billion in AI infrastructure over the coming years, and the market was increasingly concerned about whether it would be able to get a return on large investments.
