Nvidia releases new AI GPU Blackwell

Early this morning, NVIDIA held its GTC 2024 conference.
At the conference, NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun HuangIntroduced the new GPU Blackwell B200 and the 'super chip' GB200.
The new B200 GPU is described as consisting of 208 billion transistors, while the GB200 contains two B200 GPUs and a Grace CPU.
In the GPT-3 Large Language Model benchmark with 175 billion parameters, the GB200 outperforms its predecessor, the H100, by a factor of 7 and trains 4 times faster.
In terms of cost and energy consumption, NVIDIA says the GB200 is 25 times lower than the H100.
According to Jen-Hsun Huang, Blackwell GPUs will work with some of the world's most dynamic companies and will deliver on the 'promise of AI for every industry.
Dell, Google, Meta, Microsoft, xAI and others are reportedly planning to adopt Blackwell.
At the conference, NVIDIA also announced that its Omniverse cloud service can be connected to Vision Pro, as well as the launch of the GR00T program, a universal model for humanoid robots, among other things.
