The Novo Nordisk Foundation and NVIDIA have entered into a partnership agreement to build a supercomputer in Denmark that will be used to drive research and innovation in the fields of healthcare, life sciences and green transformation. It will be one of the most powerful computers in the world, using NVIDIA's artificial intelligence technology. Public and private sector researchers in Denmark will be able to utilize the computer. The Novo Nordisk Foundation has committed about 600 million kroner ($87 million) to the supercomputer center, while the Danish Export and Investment Fund will provide 100 million kroner in funding. Delivery and installation of the supercomputer, named Gefion, is expected to be carried out by Eviden, part of the Atos Group, later in 2024.
