According to media reports, NVIDIA recently announced that it will work with Indonesia's second-largest mobile telecommunications company, Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, to build a total investment of up to 200 million U.S. dollars in the construction of an artificial intelligence development center in Solo, a move that marks NVIDIA's further expansion of its business territory in Indonesia and throughout Southeast Asia.
NVIDIA's layout in Southeast Asia is not limited to Indonesia. In January of this year, Singapore Telecommunications Corporation also announced a partnership with NVIDIA to deploy artificial intelligence capabilities in its data centers throughout Southeast Asia. This cooperation will further promote the Southeast AsianArtificial Intelligence Technology Applicationsand development.
It's worth noting that Southeast Asia has become one of NVIDIA's key revenue sources. According to NVIDIA's filing with the SEC last year, about 15% (or $2.7 billion) of the company's quarterly revenue came from Singapore. (Source: Fast Technology)
