NVIDIA announced on April 14 that the company is working hand-in-hand with manufacturing partners to design and build factories. These factories will produce NVIDIA's AI supercomputers entirely on U.S. soil for the first time. 1AI has learned from an official press release that the company, along with its manufacturing partners, has commissioned more than 1 million square feet of production space to build and test NVIDIA's Blackwell chips in Arizona and produce AI supercomputers in Texas. NVIDIA's Blackwell chips have been manufactured in Phoenix, Arizona at TSMC (TS...

Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence startup xAI has announced a partnership with Dell, Nvidia and Supermicro to build what it says will be the world’s largest supercomputer. The project will provide the startup with a large amount of computing resources to support its training work and reduce its reliance on cloud services from Oracle and X’s data centers. Technology companies GigaIO and SourceCode have jointly launched a disruptive portable artificial intelligence supercomputer - Gryf. Unlike previous huge supercomputers, Gryf is cleverly designed to be the size of a cabin suitcase, weighing no more than 55 pounds (note: about 24.97 kilograms), fully complying with the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) cabin suitcase regulations, and users can easily carry it when traveling. But don't be fooled by Gryf's small appearance, it has four built-in graphics processors (GPUs), 246TB...

According to the Nikkei, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan will provide subsidies totaling 72.5 billion yen (currently about 3.4 billion yuan) to five Japanese companies to build artificial intelligence supercomputers, aiming to reduce technological dependence on the United States. The report pointed out that from the perspective of economic security, the development of AI is crucial, and high-performance computers are also crucial for the development of AI and generative AI that require massive data learning. At the same time, Japan's computing infrastructure is very scarce. ▲ The Arm-based supercomputer jointly developed by RIKEN and Fujitsu...
