A few days ago, Anton Korinek, a professor of economics at the University of Virginia and an AI economist, was recently interviewed by Harvard Business School. In the interview, Anton predicted where AGI (General Artificial Intelligence) and the labor market will go in the AI era. Anton said that AI has been evolving faster than imagined. In many fields, AI is outperforming the majority of humans while still managing to "saturate" the benchmarks of some programs. Anton boldly predicts that it may only take 2-...

According to a March 30 report in Science and Technology Daily, China's first large-scale social simulator for general artificial intelligence was officially released at yesterday's General Artificial Intelligence Forum at the annual meeting of the 2025 Zhongguancun Forum, meaning that there is a preview model for management and decision-making in transportation and other related fields. 1AI learned from the report that the "large-scale social simulator" is a simulation platform for learning and practice of social-level intelligences, which can accurately deduce the laws of social operation by using multi-intelligence value modeling and digital twin technology, simulate the long-term impact of different social decisions, and provide forward-looking previews for government decision-making. According to Beijing General Artificial Intelligence Research ...

On January 25, Liu Qingfeng, chairman of KU Xunfei, made clear at the company's annual meeting the strategic ecological position of Xunfei's Starfire big model: adhering to autonomous and controllable, facing the people's livelihood and immediate needs, facing the needs of national strategy, and empowering scientific research and production. He revealed that in the new stage of the development of general artificial intelligence, Xunfei will be a full-stack autonomous and controllable big model national team, "focusing on autonomous and controllable base capabilities and key application tracks, and maintaining strategic stamina in the spirit of long-termism." 1AI noted that Liu Qingfeng also revealed the 2025 business development strategy: "Strengthen the C-end, deepen the B-end, choose the G-end, product...

On January 16th, Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, confidently stated on his podcast that OpenAI will be ahead of its peers and be the first to implement AGI (General Artificial Intelligence). He believes that the short-term impact of AGI will not be as great as people think, but in the long term, everything will change. Even if AGI is realized, the impact on ordinary users will not be immediately apparent, but will only become the talk of the town after dinner, but the related impact, will advance in a subtle way. 1AI cites a blog post introducing Altman's belief that humanity is undergoing a historic shift from...

Dec. 10, 2012 - General artificial intelligence (AGI) is a frequent topic of discussion for many AI companies, but Apple seems to have a very different viewpoint than most. In an interview with WIRED, John Giannandrea, Apple's senior vice president of machine learning and AI strategy, said that Apple isn't interested in general-purpose artificial intelligence (AGI), and that the goal is unrealistic and somewhat reckless. 1AI notes that Giannandrea argues that unlike many of its competitors, Apple is not interested in developing general-purpose AI, a...

Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, recently said that the upcoming developments in the AI industry will be more impactful than expected. Speaking at the DealBook Summit organized by the New York Times on the 4th, Altman predicted that by 2025, we may see systems with "general artificial intelligence" (AGI) capabilities for the first time. Such systems could perform complex tasks like humans and even use multiple tools to solve problems. Maybe in 2025," he says, "we'll see some AGI systems where people will be like, 'Wow! That's out of this world...'

November 16 news, technology media engadget yesterday (November 15) published a blog post, the European Union has been released on November 14, the General Artificial Intelligence Code of Practice, a total of 36 pages, the goal of the development and use of General Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) models to set up a regulatory framework. Definition of General Purpose Artificial Intelligence Models The preliminary draft of the General Purpose Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) Code of Practice defines a GPAI model as: an artificial intelligence model, including an AI model trained by self-supervision at scale using large amounts of data, which demonstrates significant versatility and is capable of a wide range of...
