AI shows potential for autonomous search for 'artificial life'

According to the official website of Japan's SakanaAI, the company has made a major breakthrough in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in collaboration with organizations such as MIT, OpenAI, and Swiss AI lab IDSIA. The new technology they have developed enables, for the first time, the automated search and discovery of new types of artificial life using a visual language-based model. This technology no longer relies on the traditional tedious manual design process, increasing the possibility of exploring unknown life forms. (Xiaoxiang Morning News)
