Meta AI releases the SAM3D model to achieve high quality 3D reconstruction of single maps

Meta AI launched the most recent model of the Segment Anything series SAM3D, which contains two sets of weights: SAM3D Objects and SAM3D Body. The former is used for general object/scene reconstruction, while the latter focuses on human image modelling, requiring only a 2D photo to export high-quality 3D assets and perform better than the NeRF and Gaussian Splatting programmes. The model uses joint coding techniques to ensure physical correctness and can be used in such areas as AR/VR. Official tests show significant performance improvements. The model is now integrated into a creative tool that allows developers to call API and release real-time cell phone-end reasoning SDK in the first quarter of 2026. Meta syncs the content of the open source and goes online with "View in Room"。
