Geoffrey Hinton

According to the news of 29 September, the recent interview with Young Weida CEO Hoang In-hoon refuted the Nobel Prize winner in physics, Jeffrey Hinton, who claimed that his AI end-of-life predictions were unfounded and only caused public panic. According to 1AI, Jeffrey Sinton was known as "AI Godfather" as the pioneer in the field of AI neuronet and deep learning. This AI leader recently suggested that if AI loses control, 10%-20% could cause social breakdown and even threaten people..

On September 28th, local time 26, according to Fortune magazine, the legendary computer scientist Jeffrey Hinton warned that even though AI was not in bad faith in itself, it was possible that humans could be reduced to the collateral consequences of being destroyed while AI was committed to its mission. Sinton explained that once AI believes that humanity is preventing itself from carrying out the tasks entrusted to it, it may be seen as an obstacle that needs to be removed. He gave the hypothetical example of asking AI to reduce CO2 in the atmosphere. I don't know

On August 6th, a computer scientist known as "the Godfather of artificial intelligence" Jeffrey Hinton stated that he feared that AI would develop its own goals. In an interview with Newsthink on Tuesday at local time, Sinton said, "We're actually creating a new form of life. They have targets. We assign them goals from which they will derive others.” “But we don't necessarily know what other goals they will lead to.” He added, "So, we're creating..

On December 30, according to The Fortune magazine, "Ai Godfather" Jeffrey Hinton recently stated in CNN's State of the Union that artificial intelligence technology will be further enhanced next year with the ability to replace more human work. He noted that AI had been able to fill positions such as call centres and would expand to more areas in the future. Heinton stressed that progress in AI was much faster than expected, with an average of seven months reducing the time taken to complete the task by half. For example, a code that used to take an hour..

On November 5th, according to Fortune, Father AI's computer scientist Jeffrey Hinton said in a recent interview that the only viable way for a technology giant to benefit from a huge AI investment is to replace human labour with AI. In addition to charging users for the use of chat robots, Hinton points out that "replace workers with cheaper alternatives" will be the main path for businesses to make a profit. Heinton stressed that although some economists believe that new technologies often create new jobs, he is not convinced that AI will extend..

In the podcast The Weekly Show, Jeffrey Hinton, a recently dubbed "AI Godfather," explained the workings of the neuronet and large language models in depth and with a critical warning of their potential social, economic and survival risks. In the program, Hinton compares the neural network of AI to the human brain, whose basic unit is connected neurons. Hinton explains that AI did not follow the rigid rules of humans, but by analysing big data (for example, after looking at pictures of countless birds) from..

July 28, according to Xinhua News Agency, the Nobel Prize winner, the godfather of artificial intelligence Geoffrey Hinton in the 2025 World Conference on Artificial Intelligence, delivered a speech titled "digital intelligence will replace biological intelligence", at the same time, this is also the first time Hinton China speech. In the speech, Hinton recalled two paradigms in the development of AI over the past 60 years, one of which is logic-based, which believes that the essence of intelligence is reasoning, which can be realized by manipulating symbolic expressions with rules; the other is biologically-based, which believes that the key to intelligence lies in the neural network of...

A few days ago, the godfather of AI, Geoffrey Hinton, was interviewed by The Diary Of A CEO, in which he shared a lot of the development and application of AI, as well as the fascinating question of "what will AI replace". As for the risks of AI, Hinton said he was relatively "slow" to recognize them. He said he realized from ChatGPT that the digital intelligence being created by humans has certain qualities that make them far superior to the biological intelligence possessed by humans. At the same time, Hinton also said that AI ...

Geoffrey Hinton, known as the "Godfather of AI", was recently interviewed, in which he confessed that the rapid development of AI has far exceeded expectations, not only approaching or even surpassing humans in reasoning ability, but also approaching the core boundaries of creativity, emotion and consciousness. Hinton said that today's AI has a decreasing error rate in reasoning, memory, and decision-making, and that the amount of information held by models like GPT-4, Gemini, and Claude has far exceeded that of humans. He mentioned that AI is able to easily bypass linguistic traps, accurately reason...

A few days ago, Nobel Prize winner Geoffrey Hinton was interviewed by CBS, in which he talked about his expectations for AI technology, and also warned that human beings need to be vigilant in their attitude towards AI. Hinton believes that today's AI is developing much faster than he expected, and Hinton emphasized the AI Agent, which he believes is more dangerous than AI robots with simple chat functions, because the Agent is capable of interacting with real-world content....

Geoffrey Hinton, a professor at the University of Toronto, Canada, who has just won the 2024 Nobel Prize in Physics and is known as the "Godfather of AI," said in a live group interview on October 9, "I've had a lot of very smart students, much smarter than me! , who have done a lot of real work and had great careers. I'm particularly proud that one of my students fired (FIRED) Sam Altman." Hinton mentioned that the student was none other than Ilya Sutskever, the former chief scientist of OpenAI.Ilya Suts...

Geoffrey Hinton, a pioneer in the field of artificial intelligence, is known as the "godfather of artificial intelligence" for his pioneering work in neural networks. Recently, he expressed his concerns about the development of artificial intelligence. He said that artificial intelligence may replace a large number of traditional jobs and suggested that the British government implement a universal basic income system to meet this challenge. YouTube screenshot According to the BBC, Hinton admitted in an interview, "I am very worried that artificial intelligence will replace many simple jobs." To solve this problem, he believes that universal basic income is a feasible solution...
